LIQUID ALEPPO SOAP CERTIFIED ORGANIC
Karawan's liquid soap is made according to the ancestral recipe of Aleppo soap and it is certified Organic* to ensure the traceability of natural ingredients respectful of the skin and of the environment. The traditional saponification process, realized by boiling the oils, allows to obtain a soap rich in essential fatty acids contained in noble olive and bay tree oils. The olive oil softens and nourishes the skin without drying nor irritating it. The bay tree oil has purifying properties and a tonic perfume that stimulates the body. It is recommended for all skin types, especially for sensitive skins and for the thoseprone to dryness. It can be used for hands, face and body.
The liquid Aleppo soap corresponds to the Quality Aleppo soap, 20% bay tree oil.

INCI : Aqua (water), Potassium olivate*, Glycerin*, Potassium laurate, olea europaea (olive) fruit oil*, potassium benzoate, potassium sorbate, laurus nobilis fruit oil, laurus nobilis leaf oil*, Lauryl glucoside, Polyglyceryl-2 dipolyhydroxystearate, Citric oil.
*Ingredients derived from certified organic cultivation. 99,6% of all the ingredients are of natural origin and 15,20% of all the ingredients derived from certified organic cultivation.

Label Ecocert
Created in 1991, Ecocert is a certification body approved by the French state, which controls organic cosmetics, the origin of raw materials and issues the Ecocert label. All certified cosmetic products contain a minimum of 95% of all plant-based ingredients and they are transformed according to environmentally friendly processes validated by Ecocert. The remaining 5% of the products are all part of a short list, with only five preservatives allowed. These standards impose some requirements concerning the production of ingredients, finished products, recyclable packaging, the energy and waste management sector.
Born in 2002 out of the collaboration between ten cosmetic laboratories committed to establish a Charter for the foundation of an ethic cosmetics industry, COSMEBIO is an association which today groups together more then 200 members with more than 40000 certified products. The COSMEBIO Charter gave birth to reference guidelines registered with the French Ministry of Industry, which define in a strict, transparent way and without ambiguity, the "Ecological and Biological cosmetics”. Products are certified by Ecocert or France Quality, two French independent certification bodies and they can be labelled Cosmétique Bio or Cosmétique Eco according to their composition.
